This week was a little bumpy. Thursday I landed in the ER with what was the worst pain I have ever felt. I felt like someone was trying to pull my insides out from the outside. I was in so much pain I couldn't breathe so I called the doctor and they said to go into the ER. In the ER, they gave me pain meds....glorious pain meds. After they kicked in, they had the ultrasound tech come check the baby. Everything checked out ok and we got to see our baby! This time it looked like an actually baby and it was awesome! Our little bean had its fingers in its face and its little legs were crossed. It was fabulous!
Since everything checked out, aside from excess glucose in my urine, they went ahead and discharged me and I had to follow-up at the doctor's office the next day. So on Friday, we met with the doctor, the heartbeat sounded great and everything checked out again, aside from having too much glucose in my urine again. The doctor seemed worried about this since all of my samples have been like this and it's too early for this to be happening. So I get to do the lovely glucose test at my next appointment...lovely right?
At the end of our appointment we went ahead and scheduled our gender ultrasound... Which will be April 10th. We are so excited and I am anxiously counting down the days! Just less than 7 weeks!
That's it for this week. I hope you all get as much excitement out of reading our posts as I do sharing them! See you in the next trimester (since today marks the last day of the first)!
