23 weeks!

This week has been crazy with the end of the semester and the wedding of our friends. We have been running non-stop and haven't had much time to relax. Finally the semester is over and things are calming down (I say that loosely as summer hasn't even started yet, and we have something every weekend until August...and yes, every weekend).

If Thatcher is anything like his mommy, he will have the hiccups all of the time. There is not a day that goes by where I do not have them at least once. On Saturday, Josh was in a wedding and I was doing pictures so we were both running all day long. At one point that afternoon, Thatcher had the hiccups and I felt it for the first time! It was such a weird feeling, but through all of the craziness, he gave me something to smile about and he gave me a nice little pre-mothers day gift!

I love our sweet little boy so much already! Just another couple of weeks and we will be down to single digits! The weeks seem to drag by, but overall, time is flying!

22 weeks!

This last week was super crazy, as we had a lot going on. With the semester wrapping up, all of my free time has been focused on school. Just a few more days and it will be over though! We finally went to get the paint for Thatcher's room! We decided on a color a few weeks back, but just actually bought the paint last night! We are super excited to get started and I am SUPER excited school is just about over so I can crack out all of the projects I'm going to be crafting for his room!

Nothing new has really happened this week, until last night! Thatcher has become more and more wiggly with each day and he must think that my bedtime is his party time because that's when he seems to be the most active. Last night however, I was laying in bed and pressing on my tummy and I felt him kick my hand! It was the sweetest thing ever! The more I would press, the more he would kick! So, naturally, I had Josh press down on my belly and Thatcher kicked for him too! It was so amazing and I know Josh was thrilled that he finally got to feel Thatcher move! We both cannot wait for our little man to be here and we are both excited for the new things ahead!

20&21 weeks

It has been a few weeks. With moving and the semester wrapping up I have been super busy! Nothing new really, just a growing belly and a wiggly baby boy! We cannot wait to meet baby Thatcher! Time feels like it is going by so slowly.

We have started on his room! We finished getting all of his furniture and even chose a paint color for the walls! We are excited to get started on putting it all together! Once school is over I am going to get started on making all the fun little crafts for him room that I have on my list...and it is a pretty lengthy list! There will be pictures for sure along the way!

That is all for this week! Maybe I will have something more exciting for you next time!

19 weeks update!

This last week was a long one. We found out the gender of our little one on Friday and had a fun filled weekend of baby shopping and getting together with friends and family to share in the news! Thatcher has been moving around more and more lately and I am pretty sure I felt him kick me today! I love how much I can feel him moving around and how much he is becoming more and more active with each passing day! Here is this weeks picture. He is definitely growing in there!

Introducing Thatcher Charles!

We have one healthy baby boy! At first he wasn't too happy to show us, but after a few mins of pushing him, he gave in and spread his legs! Every time we have seen him (other than the very first time) he has been sucking his little thumb! We are so incredibly excited and cannot wait for him to make his debut! As of tomorrow we will be half way there!

Is he not just the cutest little boy ever!!! I'm in love!

17&18 weeks update

Sorry it has been a few days, I have been super bust between work and school and I haven't had much time to focus on anything. We have had one active baby! Even though the movements are super strong I can feel the baby making flutters! It is a really awesome feeling! Here  are the pictures from the last two weeks! Just a few more days until we find out the gender! Check out my next post for my answers to the old wives tale gender questions and then cast your vote on Facebook!

Gender Old Wives Tales!

I thought it would be fun to let you in on some of these old wives tales when it comes to gender before you vote on whether you think we are having a girl or boy....Look these over then head on over to Facebook and cast your vote!

1. If your legs get really big, you're having a boy. If your legs stay in shape and lean, it's a girl.
My calves have definitely gotten larger...they look MASSIVE- So this one would mean boy!

2. The Chinese Gender Chart claims to have an accuracy rate of over 90%. It is based on how old the mother is at conception and the month that she conceived.
This one is indicative of a boy!

3. Basically you are having a girl if your beauty disappears during pregnancy. It is said that the girl steals the mother's beauty. If you think that pregnancy has never made you look more beautiful, you might just be having a little boy.
My skin has been a lot clearer and looks more glowy... Boy maybe?

4. If the pregnant woman is graceful throughout her pregnancy, she's having a girl. If she becomes clumsy, she's having a boy.
I have gone back and forth on this one, but I am definitely more clumsy than I used to be... could this mean boy?

5. If a pregnant woman prefers to lay on her left side, she's having a boy. If she prefers resting on her right side, she's having a girl.
I have always been a left-side sleep...even still now! Boy!

6. If you had a smooth pregnancy with no morning sickness, it's a boy. If you were sick or felt really nauseous during your pregnancy, count on a girl.
I had no morning sickness and very minimal nausea.... could this mean boy?

7. Are your feet colder now that you are pregnant? If so, you just might be having a boy. If your feet have stayed the same before pregnancy and during, you're having a little girl.
My feet have always been cold, but I feel like they are colder more often and when they are cold they are really cold.... I am unsure about this one, but it is leaning more towards boy.

8. If the hair on your legs has been growing at record speeds, you might be having a boy.
My hair has been growing slower than before... this would be girl on this one.

9. If your hands are constantly dry, it's a boy.
My hands have never really been dry, even before pregnancy. This would be another girl one!

10. Do you feel like your nose is growing and getting wider? If so, you might be having a boy.
I feel like my nose is huge right now....BOY!

11. f you are having headaches, you might be carrying a boy.
For a while there I was getting headaches every day. Now I just get them every so often. could mean boy...

12. It is said that when you can only think of specific names for a boy or a girl, you will have that particularly baby.
This one doesn't really work for us because we have boy and girl names that we LOVE!

13. If the baby's heart rate is above 140 bpm, it is said that the baby will be a girl. If it is under 140 bpm then boy.
Our baby is consistently about 150 bpm... so if this is true then it would be girl.

14. If you are carrying high with a big, round belly, you are having a girl. If you are carrying low with a smaller belly that sticks straight out, it's a boy.
My belly appears to be low and I feel like it comes to a point and is not really rounded... could this be an indicator of a boy?

15. People believe that if you are craving salty foods while pregnant, you can count on having a boy. If you crave sweets, fruit, and orange juice, you are having a little girl.
I crave mostly salty and when I do crave sweet, it is usually for something tart or sour... boy maybe?

There is a combination of both, however, mostly it shows boy.... I guess we will find out soon!
