Move to NYC

So Josh and I decided that we would make the plunge and move out of our comfort zone... we decided there was no better place to move than to New York City!!!! I anxiously applied for positions all over the city and flew out twice (the first one didn't work). I finally got a job and we packed up the house. My mom so graciously flew up to Missouri and drove out with me. We left the day after Christmas and arrived 2 days later! Josh will be here next weekend and this next week will go by soooo slow. I start work on Monday the 7th and he starts the 14th!

I promise that I will keep this up this year! It is a goal for this year so I will try not to disappoint!

Much needed update!

Ok so much has changed since my last serious post. Here is a run down of what's been going on.
Josh- He has gotten a job for fedex which he LOVES! He has great hours so we still see each other a lot but have those few needed hours of alone time! He has been super awesome here lately at all the things I have been lacking in doing (ie. housework).
Me- I am good! Just working all the time. My job is great but I work more than I wish. I am getting ready to go back to school (3 weeks to be exact) and am slightly nervous/overwhelmed. I am so glad to be finishing up and the community college where I only have 4 more classes to take/retake to transfer to a university and fully be working on my degree! I recently started a side business selling BeautiControl! I love it! We sell awesome spa quality products way cheaper than what you would get at a spa! The dogs are good and there will be NO more puppies at all. We made sure to take care of that! There has been so much going on I do not think I could handle more.


Well that's all I have time for and I surely hope it doesn't take me 4 months to post again!

Amazing Husband!

My husband has been so awesome here lately! He pulls my car in the garage every night and he gets up at 645 and pulls the car out of the garage for me! On Sunday he made me breakfast in bed! He is truly the best!

Rough week

Oh me oh my! This past week, despite it only being a 4 day work week, was very...... lets just say grrrrrr! The little boy i nanny M-F is an only child (for another 5 weeks) and has not learned the concept of how to share really. So this past week we had to go to his mom's sister's house (his aunt) because they are redoing the wood floors at his house. He got to spend time with grandma and cousins which was great, but i have now seen a side of him that was completely opposite than his normal self.

To start.... he is mean to other kids. Like really mean. Pushes, kicks, hits, pulls... the whole charade. He refuses to share and hits when someone goes near what he is playing with. At his aunt's house there really was no good place for him to take a nap so he had to sleep on the couch. Well 2 of the 4 days he slept for 45mins tops. He usually sleeps 3 hours at home. This made for some really long afternoons.

I really hope that when the baby comes in 5ish weeks that he will not be like this. I am expecting some jealousy but other than that idk what to expect. If you have suggestions on how to handle this please give give give!

Ready for a day off!

OMG! I cannot wait for it to be Friday at 5:15! I have worked everyday for the last 7 weeks and I am sooooo ready to have a day off! I get a 3 day weekend! Josh and I are going to the lake and it could not be more needed. Josh and I haven't had a day together in about 2 months and I so can't wait. I am so excited to be able to spend good quality time with my husband!

Moving!

Josh and I have been soooo busy these last few weeks. We are moving into a town home literally the next street over. We are getting an extra bedroom, extra bathroom, extra garage and about 500 more sqft for not much more rent! we are so excited but we have pulling our hair out with the move and because we work so much it has been hard to get stuff done! We are almost there though. Everything is pretty much moved and now we are just finishing up the painting and cleaning of the old place!
